RUTS Walk & Run 2024 Event

On Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 6:30 a.m., Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus, hosted the charity walk-run event titled “Ruam Kao… Kong Rak Rajamangala” to honor the 72nd birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King. Assistant Professor Dr. Khwanhathai Jaipiam, Vice President of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus, initiated and led this event, which took place across multiple locations, including Sai Yai, Thung Yai, and Khanom. The event aimed to demonstrate loyalty and gratitude for His Majesty’s benevolence through promoting health and fostering good relations among staff, alumni, current students, and the general public. The main activities were held at the Sai Yai campus of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya.

This event was simultaneously organized across all campuses of the university, including those in Songkhla and Trang. Proceeds from the sale of event shirts will be used to fund scholarships for outstanding students with good conduct at the university, thereby enhancing educational opportunities and creating brighter futures for students. The event also aligns with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation’s policy to promote community engagement and positive interactions between organizations and the public.

In Songkhla, the event took place at Hat Yai Municipality Park and was led by Professor Dr. Suwat Thanyarat, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya. In Nakhon Si Thammarat, the activities were held at the Sai Yai area, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Khwanhathai Jaipiam, Vice President of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus. In Trang, the event was organized within the campus grounds, led by Assistant Professor Sitthichok Chanyong, Vice President of the Trang Campus. The event saw enthusiastic participation from university executives, faculty, staff, students, and the general public at all locations.

The “Ruam Kao… Kong Rak Rajamangala” event carries significant symbolic meaning. The term “Ruam Kao” signifies the collective movement of walking and running together, representing the unity of many participants. The phrase “Kong Rak” conveys the resonant voice of love and loyalty to the monarchy and reflects a commitment to preserving nature and the environment across all campuses of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, a prestigious institute under the royal patronage.
